The Future of Work Project equips you with the skills needed to thrive in rapidly evolving work environments driven by technological advancements, demographic shifts, changing work models, sustainability and climate change.
In small teams, you’ll tackle real business problems for an organisation, requiring innovative solutions and adaptable strategies. Supported by your lecturer and industry mentor, your team will study the problem, create solutions, and present strategic recommendations virtually to company representatives.
Host organisations are located worldwide, reflecting the global nature of today’s business environment.
Projects in this course will cover topics such as:
Impacts of AI and automation in the workplace.
Researching market entry strategies.
Designing frameworks of data reporting and sales strategies.
Analysing skills shortages in specific industries.
Implementing sustainable business practices.
Delivered through a hybrid approach, you’ll participate in workshops and meet regularly with your mentor to enhance your communication skills and to obtain feedback to guide your progress. As part of the Future of Work Project, my team collaborated with Snackbrands Australia to develop an AI-driven solution for optimising a key food manufacturing process. I led the development of the AI/ML solution, designed future opportunities, and contributed to problem framing and presentations.
This project strengthened my leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills, deepening my understanding of AI in business.

The Bloom AI Tutor platform lets schools and universities give each student their own AI tutor. Educators can customise tutors with their own course content and manage them at scale.
Project focus
Students will conduct a comparative review of 5-10 international case studies of AI used in K-12 or tertiary education settings. Students are encouraged to question the credibility of each claim and assess not just what was reported, but how it was evidenced.
