    If you're in Year 10 and passionate about engineering, our hands-on work experience programs are a great way to get a taste of uni life, connect with industry, and discover where a career in engineering could take you.

    Please note:

    Civil Engineering Work Experience Program (May offering):ÌýStudents must beÌýnominated by their careers adviserÌýto take part.

    Chemical Engineering and School of Photovoltaic and Renewable Energy Engineering (SPREE) Work Experience Programs (October offerings):ÌýStudents shouldÌýapply directlyÌýby submitting an expression of interest via the relevant links provided.

    Travel and/or accommodation subsidies are available for eligible NSW students.

    Applications for the 2025 CHEM ENG & SPREE WEPs are now under consideration. Students that have submitted an EOI will be notified of the outcome of their application via email in early August.

    What to expect?

    Program offerings:

    • Our academic facilitators will deliver some theory related to the program, which will help you with your program's design challenge.
    • You will complete various hands-on activities, participate in research lab visits and travel off-campus to visit industry partners gaining insight into potential career trajectories along the way!

    Attire:

    Please arrive dressed in smart casual attire and closed shoes only. The necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided by your facilitators prior to any relevant activity.

    Daily program timings:

    The schedule of each program may vary slightly, however it is expected that selected participants attend the full-five day offering. Please check with your program contact/facilitators to confirm start and end times for each day.

  • The Âé¶¹Éçmadou SunSprint Model Solar Challenge will be held on the second weekend of the school Term4. SunSprint is on Friday and Saturday while MiniSprint, Solar Boats and the Solar Pursuit events are on Saturday. The event is open to all primary and high school students in NSW and ACT.
