Step 1
Ensure that you are connected to the internet e.g. personal hotspot or home network.
Note: Instruction steps and images may vary slightly depending on the device version/type. You can check if your device type and operating system supports the Clearpass Onboard Requirements here:
Step 2
Open your preferred web browser and navigate to the GetOnlineÌý·É±ð²ú²õ¾±³Ù±ð
Select Get Online
Note: During this process, you may encounter an error message advising your Linux/ browser is not supported. When this happens, you need to manually set your browser’s User-Agent to:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Ubuntu Chromium/37.0.2062.94 Chrome/37.0.2062.94 Safari/537.36
In order to download the ArubaQuickConnect script and onboard your device to the eduroam network.
This is recommended for devices that are running the following distros:
- Ubuntu 22.04, 21.04, 20.04, and 18.04
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 and above
- Fedora Core 5 and above
- Community Enterprise Operating System (CentOS) 4 and above
- SUSE Linux 10.x
Step 3
Read the Terms and conditions and select I agree, then select Next
Step 4
Select the type of device you would like to onboard to the Âé¶¹Éçmadou WiFi network.
Step 5
Sign in by entering your zID@ad.unsw.edu.au and password. Complete the MFA process when prompted.
Step 6
On the Âé¶¹Éçmadou Onboard page, select Start QuickConnect
Step 7
Run the ArubaQuickConnect.sh Script as per the instructions. Select ‘N±ð³æ³Ù’ when the Onboard Wizard pops up.
Note: the file may be downloaded somewhere else.
Note: you may have to give permissions to run the script by typing chmod +x [filepath]/ArubaQuickConnect.sh
Step 8
On the Welcome page of the Onboard Wizard select Next.
Once the onboarding wizard finishes loading, selectÌý¹ó¾±²Ô¾±²õ³ó. You will now be securely connected to the Eduroam Wi-Fi network every time you are at participating institutions.
