Debayanti is a social scientist researching public health challenges in the Indian Sundarbans. Her work intersects public health, political ecology, climate change, and food security. She holds an MA in Human Geography from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, specializing in health and demography, and an MPhil from the same university.
Previously, she worked as a research fellow at the Population Research Centre under India's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and as an associate in UNICEF’s Social Protection for Nutrition Program in collaboration with the Institute of Economic Growth, University of Delhi.
Currently, she is a Research Assistant at The George Institute for Global Health, Sydney, and a Casual Academic at Âé¶¹Éçmadou.
