About
Rui is a PhD student in Accounting at the School of Accounting, Auditing & Taxation at Â鶹Éçmadou Business School.
Rui holds a Master’s degree in Accounting from the University of Sydney and a Bachelor’s degree in Financial Management from Renmin University of China.
Prior to transitioning to academia, Rui worked in the Consulting service line at one of the Big 4 accounting firms in Sydney for more than 3 years, and he also worked as an in-house consultant at one of the Group of Eight Universities in Australia for more than 2.5 years.
Throughout his professional journey, Rui gained valuable experience in areas such as digital transformation, intelligent automation, data analytics, and AI.
His research interests lie in investigating the impact of technology and AI on the professional judgement and decision-making processes of auditors, managers and investors.
