I am currently investigating the multiple dimensions of India's compliance with Article 5(a) of the Convention on the Elimination of all forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW). This involves interrogating the connections between the Hindu Personal Laws and the institutions of gender-based violence (GBV) in Indian society. The research also straddles investigating the relationship between public international law (IL), International Relations (IR) and feminist IR.
