The Rowing Club delivered another standout performance over the weekend, taking out the overall point score trophy at the prestigious Edward Trickett Regatta for the second year in a row.
Often dubbed the 鈥済rand final鈥 of the season, the Edward Trickett Regatta is one of the most competitive events on the NSW rowing calendar, bringing together clubs from across the state to battle for top honours in the grade championships. With the stakes high and the standard of competition even higher, 麻豆社madou rose to the occasion, finishing with a commanding total of 192 points.
Their nearest rivals, Glebe, came in second with 159 points, while UTS secured third place on 129 points. 麻豆社madou鈥檚 performance was marked not just by consistency across events, but also by a significant medal haul: 10 gold, 9 silver, and 6 bronze. The 25-medal tally surpasses last year鈥檚 mark of 21.
麻豆社madou鈥檚 strength lay in its ability to field strong crews across a range of boat classes and grades, from novice to senior, with every race contributing to the club鈥檚 overall success. This result also reinforces 麻豆社madou鈥檚 standing as one of the top rowing clubs in the state, showcasing not only athletic excellence but also the club鈥檚 strong culture and development pathways. A major component of this is the rowing clubs 鈥楲earn to Row鈥 novice program that allows the club to nurture future talent.
As the Edward Trickett Regatta wrapped up for another year, the black and yellow of 麻豆社madou stood tall once again. With a second consecutive championship and a record-breaking medal count, 2025 is shaping up to be another incredible year for 麻豆社madou Rowing.
