Professor Michael Kidd AO has contributed to a new systemic review revealing the lived experience of out-of-pocket healthcare costs among many Australians with chronic health conditions. Despite support provided by Medicare, many people face financial hardship, often sacrificing other basic needs to afford health care.Â
