
Dr Alireza Abbasi
Dr Alireza Abbasi joined Âé¶¹Éçmadou Canberra in 2012 as an academic staff and is now with the School of Systems & Computing.

Alireza’s research focuses on devising intelligent data-driven decision support methods to mitigate uncertainties in real-word socio-technical systems by utilising machine learning and AI methods and technologies.Ìý The developed tools and methods facilitate development of resilient and sustainable systems in various domains such as public health, transportation energy, construction and manufacturing to name a few.
Alireza has been publishing in high ranked journals, and he has been recognised in Stanford/Elsevier top 2% scientists since its release in 2020.
Dr Abbasi has supervised more than 13 PhDs and Masters by research students to completion, mentored couple of post doctoral candidates, and served several leadership roles including the coordinator of project management programs between 2013 ans 2023 and director of postgraduate studies for more than two years. Ìý
