Belinda J Dunstan is a Senior Lecturer in the Âé¶¹Éçmadou Faculty of Arts, Design and Architecture, and isÌýthe Principal Lead for theÌýthe Âé¶¹Éçmadou Creative Robotics Lab.ÌýMotivated by curiosity and care for how technology will shape human activity in the future, her multidisciplinary research practice spans the disciplines of fine art, design, architecture, education and social robotics to engage in ‘critical-futuring’.
In 2024, Belinda authored and designed Australia's first minor in Social Robotics for the Bachelor of Design. She is also the Course Convenor for Interior Architecture:ÌýCritical Perspectives and for Computational Design: Human-Machine Interaction.ÌýBelinda’s research focuses on the appearance design, movement planning and future cultural implications of social robots.ÌýHer current research interests are inÌýsocial robot morphology, technology ethics and cultural robotics.ÌýRecently, Belinda was the lead editor of Cultural Robotics: Social Robots and their Emergent Cultural Ecologies (Springer, 2023).
