
Professor Richard Niesche

Richard Niesche is Professor of Educational Leadership in the School of Education at the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. His research interests are primarily in critical perspectives in educational leadership, the principalship and social justice. He has published his research widely in a number of books, book chapters and peer reviewed journals. He is also the founding co-editor of the ‘Educational Leadership Theory’ book series with Springer. Some recent books published include Social, Critical and Political Theories for Educational Leadership (2019), Theorising Identity and Subjectivity in Educational Leadership Research (2020), and Understanding Educational Leadership: Critical Perspectives and Approaches (2021). He currently has forthcoming books with the leading international publishers, Bloomsbury and Routledge.
