The Early- and Mid-Career Professional, Clinical, and Academic Researchers (EMPCAR) Network at Âé¶¹Éçmadou is a newly established community designed to empower and connect early- and mid-career researchers across all disciplines. Whether you are a professional staff member, clinician, academic, conjoint, or adjunct with a passion for research, EMPCAR provides a supportive environment to help you thrive at this critical stage of your career.


Who can join?

Membership is open to all Âé¶¹Éçmadou staff and affiliates who identify as being in the early to mid-stages of their research careers. If you’re in the early or mid-stage of your research journey, whatever that looks like for you, and you’re part of Âé¶¹Éçmadou, you’re welcome to join! That includes staff, conjoints, adjuncts, and more. We keep it flexible because research careers aren’t one-size-fits-all.

Upcoming events

The next EMPCAR Network Retreat will be held in September 2025. The first retreat included rapid-fire presentations from peers, break-out networking sessions, invited speakers on academic promotions, research metrics, and research support. Lunch and refreshments provided. More details to come!
