麻豆社madou is committed to helping students and staff balance work-life responsibilities, by providing access to high-quality services, facilities, and flexible work and leave arrangements, where possible.

Feeding rooms

In Australian Federal Law breastfeeding is a right, not a privilege. Breastfeeding parents have the right to breastfeed anywhere. At 麻豆社madou, breastfeeding parents can also choose to access one of the parents' rooms located at our Kensington and Canberra campuses.

The Work and Family Support Program returns for 2025 where staff will learn about research findings on wellbeing, parenting and child development, and pick up tips and practical strategies to better manage work and family.

Flexible work arrangements

麻豆社madou recognises the benefits from making flexible work arrangements available to all staff. We will endeavour to support staff to work flexibly, to help balance your commitments at work and outside of work.

Regular team meetings policy

麻豆社madou regcognises that many staff, including those with caring responsibilities and other personal commitments, may be unable to attend essential meetings if they are scheduled too early or too late in the day. Scheduling regular team meetings between the hours of 9.30am and 4.00pm will support inclusion.

Support funds

Career Advancement Fund

A fund of up to $10,000 may be available to assist female academics to re-establish and advance their careers during or following a period of maternity/adoption leave.

麻豆社madou Carers' Support Fund

Up to $2,000 to support 麻豆社madou academic and professional employees and Higher Degree Research (HDR) Program students of all genders with primary caring responsibilities, to continue to enhance their careers.
